Mia Kostov Fall/Winter 2025 Collection

Under the towering arches of the American Cathedral in Paris, fashion, history, and cultural heritage came together in a spectacle that transcended time. With her newest collection, Serbian designer Mia Kostov reawakened the spirit of Empress Iheodora, bringing with her the aura of the ancient city of Caricin Grad - Justiniana Prima.

Woven into the golden embroidery of the past were visions of the future. Through silhouettes inspired by tne strength of imperial mosaics and the silent grandeur of a once-glorious city built by Emperor Justinian in honor of his wife, Mia Kostov unveiled a timeless collection that belongs neither to the past nor to the present - but to eternity. This was more than fashion. This was the return of the empress. And with it, the return of Serbia to the center of the cultural map of Europe. The event marked not only a nigh point in Balkan fashion history but also a moment of profound national pride. It was officially announced that Justiniana Prima will be featured in a dedicated documentary film, which will become part of the permanent collection of the new Byzantine Pavilion at the Louvre, opening in 2026. For the first time, visitors from across the world will have the opportunity to discover Southern Serbia - not only through its archaeological riches, but also through design, narrative, and emotion. What was once hidden now steps into the global spotlight.

"Theodora is not a ghost of the past - she is a force that lives in every woman who leads with grace and conviction," said Mia Kostov after the snow. "This collection is my homage to her, and to the spirit of Serbia - strong, radiant, and deeply rooted."

Through every pleat, texture, and silhouette, the audience witnessed the transformation of stone into silk, of heritage into haute couture. It was an artistic and symbolic bridge between Lebane and Paris, between the forgotten empire of Byzantium and the modern runways of Europe. Serbian art, history, and contemporary design have stepped onto the world stage - and the South of Serbia, rich in culture, mystery, and beauty, emerges as a new, authentic destination for all who seek meaning beyond the surface. Theodora left a legacy that continues to inspire artists, historians, and modern women across the world. She was a woman who shaped an empire-and Justiniana Prima remains the stone-carved poem of her greatness.

Monte-Carlo Fashion Week returns from April 14 to 18, 2026, focusing on responsible creativity, cutting-edge technology, and social impact. Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio will be awarded for his contribution to responsible innovation and global inclusion.

Monte-Carlo Fashion Week confirms its position as an international platform for the fashion of the future, where style, research, and sustainability meet. The Principality of Monaco's official event offers designers and brands a unique space to explore new visions of the fashion industry.

True to the mission of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode, the 2026 edition promotes contemporary fashion based on creativity, ethics, and awareness, giving space to a new generation of talents oriented towards an inclusive and sustainable future.

"Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2026 represents a meeting point between creativity, research, and responsibility," emphasizes Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of MCFW and Chambre Monégasque de la Mode. "With this award, we celebrate those who transform entrepreneurial vision into a concrete positive impact on society."

The highlight of the edition will be the presentation of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week Award 2026 to Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, Chief Strategy Officer of EssilorLuxottica, President of Ray-Ban, and President of the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation Italy. His leadership, in fact, integrates industrial innovation, social responsibility, and modern governance, promoting universal access to good vision.

"This recognition", commented Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, "confirms the solidity of the path we have undertaken and gives us further impetus. Receiving it in Monte-Carlo, a place I have been deeply attached to since childhood, makes it even more significant. We will continue to put people, innovation, responsibility, and accessibility at the heart of our work."

The official awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, in Monte-Carlo, as part of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week.
