Fabien Rozan Couture Summer 2012

For the summer 2012, we, again, find the geometrical theme (Remember "In the beginning there was the circle..." as well as the skin print principle. Round cuts set like moons and suns in order to anoblish the silhouette. Then come the "streaks" made by omission of fabric that symbolize many horizons lines. Vertically, empty rectangles symbolize the windows of the caravels, all on a rhythm adapted to morphology The lack of material over the whole length of the sides replaces the sewing. Front and back are then assembled with metal elements within the continuity of the "jewel dresses" of the creator.

At dusk, the tulle incrustations in the shape of pentagrams are shining stars in the Milky Way This summer's skin-print announces a very high fashion maritime theme obtained by subtle curvy cuts that look perfectly straight to the eye. Underlined in navy, these lines become streaks What is very unique about this exercise is the suppression of all vertical sewing (side, princess, and back fitting) for dresses that are nevertheless adjusted to sheath.

The geometry associated with fluid materials allows the designer to transform simple squares emptied with a circle in their center into gipsy flounces. The 2012 summer is enriched with new materials such as neoprene jerseys, synthetic leathers, stretch vinyl; "Versailles" broached fabric for sizes that are much adjusted, bringing out corolla shaped skirts. As to the damasks, they mix linen, lurex, cotton, wool and microfibers.

Of course, the wool canvas of the small black dress is still present, sometimes with a strass constellation... The black lycra jerseys, initially created for Olympic swimmers are either fluid or slightly thermo puffed in order to espouse and strengthen the silhouette.

"Skin-Print" is a concept invented by Fabien Rozan: women who wear the model become the ornament of the creation, their body wears the garment but their skin brings out the final design. The cut and dried principle allows the creation of a motif in a one color fabric while letting the material hidden beneath show, namely, the woman's skin. The skin color changes the motif and renders it absolutely unique.
