BBW 2008 : NOVIA D'ART

NOVIA D'ART

Women want to look their all-time best on their wedding day. This is the sole idea driving the creations of Maria Teresa Raich. The dress should add to the bride's beauty naturally, without any tricks.

Novia d'Art saw the light in 1967 in the heart of the stately district of Gracia, Barcelona, and was the result of the Raich's longstanding tradition in fashion.

Its innovative designs were immediately accepted in society in the Barcelona of that time, and heralded the beginning of a business career that is as successful now as it was then.

Novia d'Art, which since the outset has stood out for its elegant and original designs, witnessed a generational handover with the arrival of Marta and Maria Teresa Raich.

Maria Teresa Raich, designer of Novia d'Art, gives the Company the youth and dynamism that is always needed in the ever-changing world of fashion, revamping it and promoting its international projection.

This all saw the beginning of the company's most prosperous spell, and the consolidation of its international expansion, participating in the most relevant platforms of its speciality.

Maria Teresa Raich, trained in the bosom of the family and in its tradition, defines herself as dynamic and hardworking, constantly in search of new fabrics, textures and stylish lines that highlight and accentuate woman's figure through perfect cuts and low-volume skirts.

Her objective: to reveal the bride's personality, with naturalness... freshness.... glamour

Her design is based on a fine cut and the use of fabrics that afford volume, such as mikados, satins, crepes, silks and taffetas, with multiple drapes, creasing, apparently careless pleats that profile a slim and slender bride.

The colours used in the designs are ivory, natural tones, beige, gold and small brushstrokes of colour blended with ivory.

What is Romanticism?
It is the new, sensitive collection dreamed up by Maria Teresa Raich, from the sensuality of her thoughts, creating garments at liberty, full of movement and delicate in all their expressions.

Maria Teresa Raich presented her garments for the third year running at the GAUDI NOVIAS bridal week; this time her 2009 collection. The deepest feeling that defines ROMANTICISM.
Her proposal, inspired by the sensitivity of the romantic dreams of Classical Greece, is defined by stylish outfits, simply yet with a high content of details. Her romantic, white collection, with more than 100 delicate, different models, is characterised by:
